How does the Freelance Village work?

The concept is simple (we hope). Freelancers have a profile and businesses can find them and contact them direct. There's no middle person acting as a gate keeper, or with their hand out for a cut.

It is also a place for freelancers to connect, collaborate and create with each other.

Does it cost anything?

It will never cost for businesses. But to cover expenses for advertising and web hosting, our freelancers contribute a minimal fee to join. However we are a not-for-profit - it’s not about making the big bucks here, simply to provide a great service where there was a gap in the market.

Who can have a profile?

In a nutshell, those featured are New Zealand freelancers who provide a service. But there is an importance placed on not only experience, but skill and quality. Businesses need to know that freelancers on here are good at what they do, and will produce work of a high standard - otherwise it could have a detrimental impact on the concept.

I want to hire a freelancer - how do I go about doing this?

Have a look through the different profiles of freelancers featured, choose the one that you feel suits your business needs best, and then you simply get in touch using their contact details at the bottom.
