I have more than 25 years of experience in journalism, publishing and communications, in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, backed up by a Bachelor of Communications. As a communications professional, I've worked in-house and freelance for a broad range of high-profile organisations, including giants of the finance and insurance sector, global retail and IT brands, a leading media company, and the non-profit sector. A long-time contributor to the New Zealand Herald, I've also worked for Fairfax Magazines, Bauer Media, and AAP, among others, and my work has appeared in dozens of publications, from Next and Metro, to the Daily Telegraph and USA Today. My internationally bestselling novels and non-fiction books have graced bookstore shelves from downtown Manhattan to Lambton Quay, and I've copyedited and proofread bestselling manuscripts for big-five publishers, coached emerging writers and taught writing workshops.
I help clients across a range of sectors define and articulate their messages and shape and tell their stories in any written medium, from websites and social media to speeches and press releases. I can train your workforce in writing, adapting the secrets of a successful journalist, author, novelist and editor to bring power and clarity to your business communications.
